Wurtsboro Airport offers glider, power scenic, and antique biplane rides that are safe, fun and exciting. Glider rides allow for a single passenger the joys of soaring above the mountain range, with no engine, in silent tranquility. Scenic power rides allow for up to three passengers to take a trip out and over the steep rock ledges of the Catskills, the blue mountain lakes and waterfalls of the region and the old historic Mohonk Mountain House. Bi plane rides offer a chance to step back in time and take a flight in an antique bi- plane, with the option of up to two passengers "based on size and weight". The average weight of a passenger for our scenic rides is 180lb's and the maximum weight for a glider passenger is 225 lbs. The minimum weight on an aircraft ride is 50lbs.
